Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, skilled and proactive General Maintenance Technician / Handyman to maintain four busy bingo and gaming halls. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring all venues remain safe, clean, compliant and fully operational for customers and staff.
The role requires a broad range of practical maintenance skills, including light plumbing, basic electrical work, carpentry, painting/decorating and general building repairs. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards and be able to work independently while managing multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
· Carry out routine maintenance across all four venues.
· Respond promptly to maintenance requests from venue management.
· Undertake minor plumbing repairs including taps, toilets, pipework and leak repairs.
· Carry out basic electrical maintenance such as replacing sockets, switches, light fittings, lamps and fault finding (within competency and certification limits).
· Complete general carpentry repairs including doors, locks, shelving, skirting and furniture.
· Perform painting, decorating and patch repairs.
· Maintain flooring, ceiling tiles and internal fixtures.
· Assemble and install furniture, equipment and fittings.
· Complete minor building repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
· Conduct regular site inspections to identify maintenance issues before they become major problems.
· Liaise with external contractors where specialist works are required.
· Maintain maintenance records and report completed works.
· Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
· Assist with emergency repairs and out-of-hours call-outs where necessary.
· Support venue refurbishments and improvement projects.
· Assist in delivering various items to Clubs and Head Office.
· General tidying up of outdoor spaces
Skills & Experience
Essential
· Proven experience in a general maintenance or handyman role.
· Competence in light plumbing and basic electrical maintenance.
· Good knowledge of general building maintenance.
· Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
· Excellent practical problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Good communication and organisational skills.
· Full clean driving licence.
· Willingness to travel between sites.
Desirable
· Relevant trade qualification (electrical, plumbing, carpentry or maintenance).
· PAT Testing qualification.
· Experience working within hospitality, leisure, retail or gaming environments.
· Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
· First Aid qualification.

Working Hours
· Part-time (typically 25 hours per week).

Pay: €33,500.00 per year
