Due to continued growth, we now seek applications for a Quantity Surveyors to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be result driven, self-motivated, have minimum 2+ year’s experience with excellent communication skills.
The successful candidate will work from our Cork office and will work closely with and report directly with one of our Senior Management. The successful candidate will be provided with an opportunity to grow and develop within our organisation. Candidates will be provided with the opportunity to works towards and obtain Chartered status, recognised by SCSI , RICS. DWP will provide career focused training to facilitate the candidate to achieve same.
The role will involve
- Cost management of projects from commencement through to completion.
- Pre-contract cost planning and estimating, to advise design team and clients.
- Preparation of tender documents.
- Post tender assessments and reviews.
- Assessment and preparation of interim valuations.
- Post contract project cost control.
- Post contract cost reporting.
- Report writing.
- Attending meetings with clients and design teams.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 2+ year’s experience, preferable but not essential within a PQS environment.
- Public works contract experience.
- Ability to manage and complete estimating and tendering projects.
- Ability to prepare reports.
- Ability to review and resolve contractual claims.
- IT literate, with a high level of proficiency in Buildsoft, Microsoft Excel and word.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to manage and build client relationships.
- Full driving license.
