Due to a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR), this is a female-only role. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to support the delivery of a high-quality, person-centred service for people with a learning disability, in line with the mission of Positive Futures. Working alongside the Service Manager, you will provide leadership to staff, help manage day-to-day operations, and ensure safe, effective care that meets regulatory standards (HIQA, HSE and Health & Safety). You will promote strong communication across the team, support staffing and resource management, and step into the Service Manager role when required.
You will also play a key role in people management, including recruitment, supervision, training and performance management of staff and volunteers, ensuring they are supported to develop and deliver high standards of care. Participation in the on-call rota is required.
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: a relevant Level 7 qualification (or Psychology/related degree) with 2 years’ experience in health and social care; or 4 years’ experience in the sector; or a Level 6 Social Care qualification with 4 years’ experience. A minimum of 2 years’ management experience, including staff supervision, and a full, valid EEA/EU driving licence are essential.
