Key Responsibilities:
· Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers
· Assist with Maintenance in Manufacturing Plant as required
· Diagnose faults using both manual inspection and diagnostic equipment
· Perform safety inspections in line with legal and company standards
· Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and inspections
· Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
· Respond to breakdowns when required
· Adhere to health & safety regulations at all times
· Assist with fleet maintenance planning and scheduling
· Spare Part – Assist in planning and storage of Spare parts
Requirements:
· Proven experience as an HGV/Truck Mechanic or similar role
· Qualifications: Level 6 QQI Craft Certificate
· Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
· Good knowledge of vehicle systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Full driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential)
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Desirable Skills:
· Experience working with a variety of HGV makes and models
· Welding or fabrication skills
· Tachograph, RSA & CVRT regulations knowledge
