About the Role
You'll be trusted to manage your day, maintain exceptionally high store standards and confidently advise customers on pet nutrition, health products, accessories and general pet care.
You'll also help us develop exciting in-store displays, promote products, create engaging social media content and continuously improve the customer experience.
As your knowledge and confidence grow, you'll have the opportunity to take increasing responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing exceptional customer service every day.
- Advising customers on pet nutrition, treats, toys and accessories.
- Helping customers choose the right products for their pets.
- Maintaining excellent merchandising standards and attractive displays.
- Keeping shelves fully stocked, clean and well organised.
- Confidently recommending additional products where they genuinely benefit the customer.
- Receiving deliveries and maintaining stock accuracy.
- Creating and appearing in social media videos, product demonstrations and promotional content.
- Helping develop new marketing ideas and promotions.
- Working independently and taking ownership of daily tasks.
- Supporting the management team with continuous improvements across the business.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous retail or customer service experience.
- Has an interest in pets, pet nutrition and animal welfare.
- Enjoys helping customers and building relationships.
- Can confidently work on their own initiative.
- Has excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Takes pride in maintaining high retail standards.
- Is comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
- Is physically fit and capable of lifting products up to 30kg safely.
- Enjoys being part of social media videos and promotional campaigns.
- Wants to build a long-term career rather than simply finding another retail job.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience in the pet industry.
- Knowledge of pet nutrition.
- Experience with merchandising or stock control.
- Supervisory or keyholder experience.
Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
