Role responsibilites:
- Layout and concept reviews, and simulation buy-offs
- Design buy-offs
- Tool and jig buy-offs
- Gauge buy-offs
- Tool buy-off and development/correction loops to ensure robust tooling, parts and process
- Interrogating dimensional results and identifying the improvement route as it applies to the tool
- Supporting trials, spotting and development through to final buy-off
- Project and timing ownership, including milestone tracking and reporting
- Supplier liaison and management through tool build, trials and buy-off
- APQP and PPAP involvement, including supporting documentation and sign-off
Requirements
- Time-served and/or degree-qualified tooling engineer with a strong background in stamping dies
- Solid understanding of stamping dies, weld jigs and associated tooling
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T
- Comfortable reading and working directly from CAD and drawings
- Experience of product and process design and development for DFM (Design for Manufacture)
- Self-starter who works on their own initiative to get the job done
- Strong problem-solver who can think on their feet and adapt as issues arise
- Clear communicator who can drive improvements back into the tooling and process
- Able to work from immature or ambiguous data and still deliver a sound result
- A desire to implement and own change on the shop floor when it comes to tool and jig manufacturing
Pay: From €40,000.00 per year
