About the Role
We are looking for a Mechanical Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex mechanical projects across Ireland and Europe. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, from planning and procurement through construction, commissioning, and final handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Working closely with clients, main contractors, subcontractors, and internal project teams, you will play a pivotal role in driving project performance, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle. This role is based across Ireland and Europe and will be an onsite position.
Key Responsibilities
Attend project start-up meetings and manage all mechanical aspects of project delivery from inception to completion.
Review and familiarise yourself with project specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
Collate, manage, and track technical submittals through to client and consultant approval.
Maintain labour trackers and monitor resource allocation throughout project delivery.
Prepare weekly progress reports and manage project changes, risks, and variations.
Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, main contractors, and site-based project teams.
Coordinate the procurement, delivery, and management of project plant and equipment.
Ensure materials are available and scheduled to support project milestones and programme requirements.
Develop and manage construction and commissioning programmes, ensuring successful implementation on site.
Oversee project commissioning activities and support final project handover requirements.
Manage project documentation and maintain the document management system to company standards.
Develop and monitor project-specific schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
Attend subcontractor meetings and drive performance to ensure timely delivery of works.
Participate in site coordination and progress meetings, ensuring actions are addressed and closed out.
Communicate innovative project solutions and site improvements to supervisory and management teams.
Qualifications
Degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager delivering large-scale mechanical installation projects.
Strong knowledge of mechanical building services systems, construction methods, and commissioning processes.
Experience managing project budgets, variations, procurement activities, and commercial performance.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Excellent planning, organisational, and project management skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities with a client-focused approach.
Experience working on data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or large commercial projects would be highly advantageous.
