Your mission
As Coaching Lead, you’ll play a defining role in shaping the next chapter of The Factory. This isn’t a session-delivery role with a title attached. You’ll lead the coaching team day-to-day, set and uphold the standard of coaching across the business, and work directly alongside the owners to develop coaches, protect client experience and influence the long-term direction of what we’re building.
You’ll coach approximately 20–25 sessions per week while carrying real leadership responsibility — conducting assessments, overseeing programming, mentoring coaches and progressively taking ownership of consultations and coach development. The person who succeeds here becomes the leader of our coaching team and a trusted member of our leadership group.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the coaching team, holding the standard across all client interactions and sessions.
- Conduct initial assessments and reassessments, ensuring every member’s programme reflects their individual goals, movement and lifestyle.
- Oversee client programming quality across the business, supporting coaches and reviewing their work regularly.
- Deliver approximately 20–25 coaching sessions per week across 1:1 and semi-private formats.
- Lead regular coaching team meetings, contribute to business reviews and bring honest, useful insight to the leadership group.
- Partner with the owners on coach development, hiring conversations and the continued evolution of our coaching systems.
- Represent The Factory with the professionalism, warmth and consistency our members expect at every touchpoint.
Who we’re looking for
Character comes first. This is a relationship business and the Coaching Lead sets the tone for the entire team.
- Someone with unimpeachable integrity — a person our coaches, members and owners can trust completely.
- A genuine care for the people in front of them, whether that’s a client working through a difficult period, a junior coach finding their feet, or a colleague having a hard week.
- The honesty and directness to have difficult conversations when needed, paired with the humility to keep learning regardless of experience level.
- A curious mindset — someone who asks better questions rather than defaulting to what they already know.
- The kind of quiet professionalism that doesn’t need to be managed or reminded.
- Composure under pressure, consistency in standards, and a visible commitment to the success of the people around them.
Skills and experience:
- A minimum of five years’ coaching experience in a professional environment.
- A proven ability to design and progress individualised programmes and conduct thorough movement assessments.
- Experience leading, mentoring or developing other coaches, whether formally or informally.
- Strong communication skills across both client-facing and team-facing contexts.
- A genuine passion for strength, longevity and evidence-informed coaching.
