The Role
We are currently seeking a Part-Time Reservations Agent to join our Reservations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As the first point of contact for many of our guests, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while maximising bedroom revenue through effective reservation management.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all bedroom reservations via telephone, email, and online booking channels in a professional and timely manner.
- Process new reservations, amendments, and cancellations accurately using the hotel's Property Management System.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of room types, rates, packages, promotions, and hotel facilities.
- Maximise room revenue by upselling bedroom categories, packages, and hotel services where appropriate.
- Ensure all reservation details are entered accurately and guest information is kept up to date.
- Liaise closely with the Front Office, Sales, Housekeeping, and Revenue teams to ensure smooth communication and guest satisfaction.
- Assist with group bookings and conference accommodation requirements as required.
- Respond promptly to guest enquiries, providing accurate information on hotel facilities, dining options, leisure centre, and local attractions.
- Monitor availability and assist with room allocation to ensure occupancy is optimised.
- Ensure all reservation procedures comply with hotel policies and rate management guidelines.
- Handle guest requests and special requirements, ensuring these are communicated effectively to the relevant departments.
- Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service and contribute to achieving departmental targets.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel reservations, hotel reception, or a customer-facing hospitality role is desirable.
- Excellent telephone manner and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent English with a strong command of the language.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good computer skills are essential; experience with Hotsoft PMS is an advantage.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Flexible availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends as required.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- A positive, professional attitude with a genuine passion for customer service.
