At Garrison Coffee Co, one of Ireland’s Top 20 Coffee Shops 2015, we believe a great café experience is built on serious coffee, warm service, and attention to detail. It's an exciting time to join us, alongside our Athlone town site, we're running an exciting pop-up for the next few months and operating our trailer, Garrison On Wheels. We're looking for a skilled Barista to join our team, someone who can bring pace and consistency behind the machine while creating a genuinely welcoming atmosphere for our guests, across all three.
Your Role
- Prepare all coffees, food and drinks to exact recipes and presentation standards.
- Keep quality consistent, even under pressure during busy spells.
- Complete daily dial ins and recipe checks to maintain accuracy.
- Engage with customers confidently from describing menu items to recommending coffees.
- Deliver friendly, professional service that reflects Garrison's hospitality values.
- Contribute to smooth service flow by keeping your station clean, stocked, and organised.
- Follow opening and closing procedures, ensuring the café is always service-ready.
- Work as part of the team, backing up colleagues and keeping energy positive on shift.
- Be flexible to work across our three locations/formats: the Athlone café, the pop-up, and Garrison On Wheels as business needs dictate.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years' barista experience in a busy speciality level café.
- A genuine love for specialty coffee, food, and service.
- Someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and stays calm under pressure.
- Reliable and fully flexible available for a variety of shifts across weekdays and weekends, and able to move between our café, pop-up, and trailer as needed.
- Team player with good communication and a focus on detail.
