Wills Bros is seeking an experienced MEP Agent / Mechanical & Electrical Site Agent to join our team on the West Apron Vehicle Underpass project at Dublin Airport. This is a key site-based role supporting the delivery, coordination and control of MEP services, building services, mechanical services, electrical services, temporary services and site infrastructure works within a live operational airport environment.
This role is suited to a confident MEP professional with strong experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, construction delivery, subcontractor coordination, programme management, quality compliance and health and safety.
As MEP Site Agent, you will play a central role in the planning, coordination and delivery of permanent and temporary MEP services on a high-profile airport infrastructure project in Dublin.
You will lead site execution, coordinate MEP subcontractors and suppliers, manage interfaces with civil works, temporary works and airport operations, and ensure all works are delivered safely, to specification and in line with programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of permanent MEP services, mechanical services, electrical services and building services in line with approved drawings, specifications, programme and quality requirements.
- Plan, install, manage and maintain temporary services required for the safe and efficient construction of the project.
- Oversee daily site activities, ensuring works are properly coordinated, resourced, sequenced and delivered safely.
- Coordinate with MEP subcontractors, suppliers, designers, airport stakeholders and internal project teams to support timely delivery of works.
Project Controls:
- Monitor site performance, productivity and progress against programme requirements.
- Support cost control by managing resources, materials and subcontractor activity effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, production outputs, constraints and site issues.
- Ensure works are managed efficiently and delivered in line with project budget expectations.
Planning & Coordination:
- Develop and maintain short-term lookaheads, work plans, resource plans and sequencing for MEP activities.
- Manage interfaces between MEP, civil, temporary works, logistics and airport operations requirements.
- Liaise with airport operations teams to manage access, permits, logistics, security requirements and operational constraints.
- Sequence works to minimise disruption to airport operations while maintaining safety, quality and programme compliance.
Quality, Testing & Compliance:
- Ensure all MEP works are delivered in accordance with approved design information, specifications, inspection and test plans, commissioning requirements and regulatory standards.
- Support inspections, testing, commissioning and handover documentation for mechanical, electrical and building services packages.
- Identify, escalate and close out technical issues, quality observations and non-conformances in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, inspection records, progress updates and handover information.
Health & Safety:
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all MEP and temporary services activities.
- Ensure compliance with project safety plans, airport safety requirements, permit systems and statutory obligations.
- Lead toolbox talks, briefings, risk reviews and incident follow-up where required.
Team Leadership & Reporting:
- Lead and coordinate site teams, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers involved in MEP delivery.
- Report progress, risks, constraints and key issues to the Construction Manager and Project Manager.
- Work closely with design, planning, commercial, quality and safety teams to resolve technical and programme challenges.
Temporary Works & Temporary Services:
- Support the planning, coordination and control of temporary works and temporary services relevant to the MEP scope.
- Maintain appropriate records, registers and close-out documentation in line with project requirements.
Essential Criteria:
- Legal right to work in Ireland.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in MEP works, mechanical and electrical services, building services or infrastructure construction, including at least 3 years in a senior site-based delivery role.
- Strong experience managing MEP subcontractors, temporary services, site coordination, construction sequencing and programme delivery.
- Good knowledge of health and safety, quality, permits, inspections, testing, commissioning and handover requirements.
- Proficiency in project management and technical tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD or similar systems.
- Valid Safe Pass and relevant site certifications such as Manual Handling, CSCS or Temporary Works Coordinator training.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working on airport, transport, utilities, civil engineering, infrastructure or live operational construction projects.
- Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders in a high-security or highly regulated environment.
- Membership of a relevant professional body or evidence of continued professional development.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, project management systems and construction quality procedures.
