Location: Site-based across Dublin
Base: North County Dublin
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Circa €37,000 per annum, depending on experience
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, standard trade hours. Some flexibility may be required.
Our client is a growing insulation and energy efficiency business working across residential and commercial properties throughout Dublin. Due to continued demand, they are now seeking two Blended Generalist Tradespeople to join their team.
This is a hands-on role combining carpentry and attic insulation work. The successful candidates will be practical, reliable and comfortable working across a variety of domestic and commercial sites. This role would suit someone with solid carpentry experience who is also willing and able to carry out attic insulation work, including preparation, installation and associated site tasks.
You will work as part of a small, close-knit team and will be expected to take pride in the quality of your work, communicate well with customers and colleagues, and ensure every job is completed safely and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Attic Insulation
Install attic insulation to the required standard, including blown fibre and roll insulation products.
Prepare attic spaces before installation, including clearing existing materials, identifying hazards and ensuring safe working conditions.
Operate insulation blowing equipment safely and in line with manufacturer and company guidelines.
Ensure all work meets required thermal performance standards and is completed to a clean, professional finish.
Complete relevant paperwork and job documentation accurately after each installation.
Carpentry
Carry out carpentry works linked to attic preparation and access, including fitting and repairing attic hatches, installing loft ladders, boarding attic floors and constructing storage platforms where required.
Carry out general first and second fix carpentry work across residential and commercial sites.
Read and work from drawings or verbal instructions where required.
Ensure all carpentry work is completed to a high standard, with strong attention to detail and finish.
General Duties
Represent our client professionally when working in customers’ homes and business premises.
Maintain a clean and tidy working environment and ensure each property is left in good order.
Transport materials and equipment to site as required.
Ensure company vehicles are kept clean, safe and roadworthy where applicable.
Comply with all health and safety requirements and use appropriate PPE at all times.
Communicate clearly with supervisors and the wider team on progress, issues and job completion.
Essential Requirements
Proven carpentry experience across residential or commercial sites.
Current and valid Safe Pass.
Manual Handling certificate.
Full clean driving licence.
Physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces, including attic environments.
Reliable, punctual and self-motivated.

Previous attic insulation experience, including blown fibre systems and roll insulation products.
Experience operating insulation blowing machines or similar equipment.
Familiarity with SEAI grant schemes and insulation documentation requirements.

The Right Person
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on tradesperson who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a growing business. Attic insulation experience would be a strong advantage, but it is not essential for the right carpenter who is willing to learn and develop in this area.
This role would suit someone who is dependable, practical, well-presented and comfortable working directly in customers’ homes and commercial premises.
