Planning / Logistics Lead
The role will ensure that the planning and logistics division of the business operates to “Best in Class” quality standards and in an environment of conscious improvement.
Ire-Wel Pallets Limited is Ireland’s leading pallet and packaging manufacturer, supplying pallets, boxes and crates to specifications for their customers. The company’s customer base includes organisations in the medical devices, pharmaceutical, electronic, food and drinks industries in Ireland and the UK. IWP is an essential service business.
Introduction:
You are required to participate in a team focused environment supporting all areas of the Logistic departments ie: planning, sales, production, despatch, transport and the broader supply chain while working alongside the internal production and sales teams with emphasis on problem solving that ensures smooth day to day running of the required processes across the department. Strong planning and good time management skills are required. Excellent communication skills and an ability to provide feedback essential.

Provide planning support for all holidays and absence cover when required together with cross training of relevant staff to ensure adequate cover is available.
Working closely with the operations and sales teams to ensure accurate order information is obtained before a delivery is scheduled.
Plan, review and agree the daily load plan to ensure efficient error free loading by the despatch team ensuring all documentation is 100% accurate before despatch sign off of goods from IWP.

Support despatch team in management of stock transfers and identifying and receipting of materials to support a smooth and efficient operation to benefit the customer experience.
Liaise with Hauliers and transport companies to ensure seamless transportation to and from destinations.
Populate the daily KPIS for the daily operations meeting and despatch performance board meetings
Preparation of daily/weekly/monthly/annual reports as required.
Communicate accurate and efficient reporting on a daily basis in a highly organised and proactive manner.
Manage book in times from suppliers and internal sales and agree collection times for customers within the agreed time lines.
Complete weekly stock reconciliation. Review and highlight aged stock weekly to sales for resolution and ensure all aged stock actions for dispatch are completed in a timely manner.
Participate in problem solving sessions to establish root cause and provide permanent solutions to prevent a re-occurrence of an issue.
Participate as a member of a project team in any part of the business as and when required.
Any other ad hoc transport and account related tasks.
