Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Junior Health & Safety Advisor to join our team based in Balbriggan.

The Role
Reporting to senior management, you will assist in maintaining and promoting a safe working environment across our depot, workshop and railway sites throughout Ireland.
The role combines office, depot and site-based work and will involve regular travel to operational sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine health and safety inspections at the depot, workshop and railway sites.
- Monitor compliance with company health and safety procedures.
- Identify hazards and report findings to management.
- Assist with accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented and completed.
- Deliver toolbox talks and support employee safety briefings.
- Maintain training records and monitor competency expiry dates.
- Assist with risk assessments, safe systems of work and health and safety documentation.
- Support compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Promote good housekeeping and safe working practices throughout the business.
- Build positive relationships with employees, clients and contractors while encouraging a proactive safety culture.
Essential Requirements
- Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (Level 7 or Level 8), or currently working towards completion.
- Graduate or up to 2 years' experience in a Health & Safety, construction, engineering or industrial environment.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Safe Pass (Can be provided) .
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Willingness to travel throughout Ireland.
Desirable
- Experience in construction, utilities, engineering or railway environments.
- Knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation.
- Occupational First Aid qualification.
- Internal Auditor qualification.
- Experience working with ISO management systems.
