About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will ensure our buildings and facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. You will handle a variety of general maintenance, repairs, and preventive tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and facilities (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.).
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and fix issues before they escalate.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency call-outs.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance logs, and inventory of tools/supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations at all times.
- Work independently or as part of a team to support daily operations.
- Minor installations, assembly of furniture/equipment, and general handyperson duties.
- Keep the premises clean and tidy, including grounds/outdoor areas if required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a maintenance, handyperson, or facilities role (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Excellent written and spoken English (for clear communication, reporting, and record-keeping).
- Strong practical skills in plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Ability to read technical drawings or manuals is a plus.
- Full clean driving license and own transport.
- Reliable, physically fit, and able to work at heights or in confined spaces when needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a "can-do" attitude.
- Knowledge of health & safety practices (e.g., manual handling, risk assessments).
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Safe Pass, electrical/plumbing certs) are advantageous but not essential.
