Keep the numbers right, so our teams can focus on care.
Bluebird Care Dublin South is looking for a meticulous, reliable Financial Administrator to own the payroll data, invoicing and day-to-day finance administration that keep the business running. This is a full-time, permanent role — Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, no evenings and no weekends — with a starting salary of €40,000.
If you take pride in accurate books, clean reconciliations and hitting every deadline, and you'd like your work to support something that genuinely matters, we'd love to hear from you.
About us
Bluebird Care is one of Ireland's most trusted homecare providers, delivering person-centred care that helps people live well and independently in their own homes. Behind every care visit is a team that depends on being paid correctly and on time — and clients who need to be billed accurately. That's where you come in.
The role
Reporting to the Head of Operations / Managing Director, you'll be the engine room of our finance function. Your week will include:
- Compiling and checking the fortnightly payroll data — hours, pay rates, holiday pay, overtime, expenses and deductions — and providing it to our external payroll processor
- Preparing and issuing client invoices, running billing, and reconciling payments in Xero
- Liaising with our payroll processor, HSE contacts and private clients
- Preparing the Monthly Management Return and other financial reports for management
- Keeping finance procedures accurate, compliant and up to date
What you'll bring
- Solid experience in finance administration and/or payroll data preparation
- Strong Excel skills — a core part of this role — and confidence with accounting software (Xero and One Touch a real plus)
- A good understanding of payroll inputs — hours, rates, holiday pay, leave and deductions — enough to prepare and sense-check accurate data for a payroll processor
- Sharp attention to detail — you're the quality gate before the data goes out — plus genuine discretion with confidential information and the organisation to juggle competing deadlines
- A clear communicator who works well as part of a team
Nice to have
- Accounting technician qualification (Accounting Technicians Ireland), or part-qualified ACCA/CPA
- Payroll qualification or training (e.g. IPASS) — handy for preparing and validating payroll data
What we offer
- €40,000 starting salary
- Monday–Friday, 9–5, no weekends — a genuinely protected work-life balance
- A permanent, full-time role with a supportive, friendly team
- Company private pension
- A bonus scheme
- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme — confidential wellbeing support
- The satisfaction of work that directly supports quality care in your community
Full details of the pension, bonus scheme and Employee Assistance Programme are discussed at interview.
