Quarry Dumper Driver
Job Purpose
The Quarry Dumper Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of articulated or rigid dump trucks within the quarry. The role involves transporting aggregates and other materials while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity and equipment care.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate quarry dump trucks safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures.
- Transport stone, aggregates and other materials within the quarry.
- Carry out daily pre-start inspections and report any defects or maintenance issues.
- Ensure loads are transported safely and in line with site traffic management procedures.
- Follow instructions from the Quarry Manager
- Work closely with loading shovel operators and other plant operators to maintain production.
- Keep vehicles clean and carry out basic housekeeping duties.
- Comply with all company Health & Safety policies, procedures and risk assessments.
- Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Report hazards, near misses, incidents and unsafe conditions immediately.
- Assist with other quarry duties when required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience operating rigid dump trucks, heavy machinery etc
- Valid Safe Pass.
- Relevant plant operator certification (e.g.QSCS)
- Manual Handling
