Harkins Bar & Bistro, Dublin 8 is looking to expand the team and recruit a Senior Bartender for our ground floor bar.
Located just across from the Guinness Storehouse, we are expecting more growth this year with a new commercial development opening directly across the road from us.
You will expected to:
- Have minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
- Have previous Keyholder experience
- Reliably be able to arrive early (9am) to open
- Experience cashing up, and locking up premises at night
The social element is just as important as the pint pulling skill here. This role would suit a person with previous experience in compact venues with a mix of regular locals and international tourists- that is our main clientele.
Previous experience in venues which serve food is a bonus but not essential. We have a very close knit team of people which have worked together for many years, with a mix of all ages.
The rotational working roster is a very sociable one. Most trading business is done during the day which means no late nights. 5 shifts a week, no split shifts, with every 3rd Saturday off (so it’s a 4 day every 3rd week)
A average fixed salary is on offer of €750 paid weekly. This equates to a composite pay rate of €20 per hour, staff food is included on breaks.
This is a long term position- not interested in journeymen who move on after a short while.
