We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join our team in a residential development in Finglas Village. This is a part-time position suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-presented environment and has experience in light maintenance and general caretaking duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily inspections of communal areas and report any maintenance issues.
- Perform light maintenance and minor repairs where required.
- Monitor and maintain bin storage areas, ensuring cleanliness and organisation.
- Ensure common areas, pathways, car parks, and external grounds are kept clean, tidy, and litter-free.
- Conduct routine checks of doors, gates, lifts, intercoms, and other communal facilities.
- Remove graffiti and address general housekeeping issues as they arise.
- Monitor the development for health, safety, and security concerns and report any issues promptly.
- Assist with contractor access and monitor works being carried out on site.
- Carry out weekly inspections of bike storage areas, drains, and other shared facilities.
- Support with general upkeep of the property to maintain a high standard throughout the development.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance operative, facilities, or property services role.
- Good practical maintenance skills and ability to carry out minor repairs.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities effectively.
- Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
- Good communication skills and a professional manner when dealing with residents, contractors, and management.
