We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Management & FP&A Accountant, with a pro-active approach to provide support across our Febvre and MWP Business. The role is set up to provide value add support for our Febvre Financial Controller and ensures a strong working relationship with the central Commercial Finance team based in Ballymun.
Key responsibilities in Febvre include:
Management Reporting
Ensure that key performance reporting is accessible, user focused, and action orientated.
Deliver weekly reports / period management accounts with understanding of key trends and ensuring all material variances are understood and communicated. Identify causes of issues and suggest remedies to same.
Support the presenting business updates at all relevant meetings and reporting on all the key metrics of business performance.
Forecasting, Budgeting and Strategic Planning
Provide a strong supporting role in the completion of the Budget, Forecast and 3 Year Plans.
Ensure effective processes are in place to collect all relevant information and in addition that these processes are continually reviewed, and necessary improvements made
Ensuring that the information provided by finance in this area satisfies both local management and Group requirements and is accurate.
Ensuring that appropriate information and presentations are produced in a timely manner to allow for detailed review by both the local management team and Group
Financial Control, Compliance and Governance
Production of balance sheet reconciliations necessary for period and quarterly close process.
Support compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and identifying and escalating risk when required.
Support internal audits, coordinating information requests and providing necessary documentation.
Support external audits ensuring a successful year end audit, with all areas of judgement appropriately supported and alignment on all key decisions with Group.
Key responsibilities in the Commercial team include:
Commercial reporting
Provide support to the MWP Finance manager to include
Support for Tendering activity
Support for in-dept sales review to support the Management team
Support for understanding key trends and ensuring all material variances are understood and communicated. Identify causes of issues and suggest remedies to same.
Support the production of targtes through the use of our Anaplan business planning tool.
Provide the back-fill coverage to support the activities required to deliver the weekly P&L and associated group commentary.
Provide a key link between the Central Commercial Team and the Febvre Finance team
What we are looking for:
Professional Accounting Qualification.
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with experience in financial modelling and data analysis.
Concise and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and corporate finance.
Excellent organisational project management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle confidential insight and information with utmost discretion.
Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory compliance requirements
