Position Description
This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to support administration operations within Supply Chain in ESB Networks. The role is broad ranging and offers scope for variety as the support provided covers a wide range of activities. It will also provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to increase their knowledge of the Networks business, develop their leadership and employee development skills and enhance their own skills including IT, customer, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
Act as an integral member of the Supply Chain Administration Team, delivering a wide range of administrative, clerical and operational supports.
Support all Supply Chain operations and contribute to the achievement of Supply Chain objectives.
Manage the efficient and cost‑effective administration of materials from suppliers through to distribution to ESB depots and contractor sites nationwide.
Maintain accurate data and ensure the integrity of warehousing and logistics records across SAP and FMIS systems.
Prepare periodic reports to support the effective and efficient operation of the team.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with Supply Chain colleagues, wider ESB Networks teams, customers and suppliers.
Provide effective Supplier Relationship Management, supporting day‑to‑day operational requirements.
Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and a positive approach to change.
Share knowledge, skills and best practices openly, and contribute positively to team and personal development.
Actively promote and support a strong Health & Safety culture within the team and across ESB Networks.
Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role as required to support the administration team.
Experience and Qualifications
Either 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience.
2 years relevant work experience
Knowledge of and competency in the use of IT systems such as SAP, SAP ISU, FMIS.
Strong IT Skills incl. Microsoft SharePoint, Excel and Word.
Excellent communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer focus and stakeholder management.
Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and appropriate attention to detail.
Ability to make & implement decisions to achieve best practice.
Willingness to learn and develop.
Strong teamwork skills
A high level of commitment and flexibility
A strong work ethic with a clear focus on safety, quality and cost objectives.
Ability to engage with and influence multiple stakeholders
Full clean EU driving licence
Location
ESB Networks - Kilteel Pole Field Office, Co. Kildare, 5 days a week onsite
