Mater Private Network are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic full-time permanent administrator to support to the Cancer Services Department.
Purpose of the Role:
To provide essential administration support to the Cancer Services Department, ensuring the efficient and smooth running of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction:
Greet and interact with patients and their families in a courteous, professional, and empathetic manner.
Provide information and assistance to patients regarding appointments, procedures, and administrative processes.
Administrative Tasks:
Accurately register, check-in, and charge patients for services rendered.
Generate accurate invoices and process payments.
Efficiently schedule appointments, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources.
Prepare and maintain patient records, both physical and electronic, in compliance with relevant regulations.
Utilise relevant software systems (iSoft, Aria, Microsoft Office Suite) to manage administrative tasks.
Departmental Support:
Assist with clinic preparation and other tasks to ensure the smooth running of the Cancer Centre.
Identify and report any administrative issues or challenges to the Cancer Centre Administration Manager or designated personnel.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
Previous experience in healthcare administration, preferably in a hospital setting.
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Empathy and sensitivity towards patient needs.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
Experience with medical billing and invoicing.
Previous hospital experience
