About the Role
Morrissey's of Doonbeg is looking for a hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic Full-Time Cleaner / Housekeeper to join our team. This is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring our restaurant, bar, guest accommodation and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
The successful candidate will take pride in their work, have excellent attention to detail and be able to work independently while supporting the wider team.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Accommodation
- Turn over and prepare guest bedrooms to a high standard.
- Make beds and change bed linen.
- Clean bathrooms and replenish toiletries.
- Vacuum, dust and polish all guest rooms.
- Check rooms before guest arrivals.
- Report any maintenance issues or damage.
Restaurant & Bar
- Clean and sanitise the restaurant before service.
- Clean the bar area, including counters, shelving and equipment.
- Mop and vacuum all public areas.
- Clean tables, chairs and furniture.
- Polish glass, mirrors and stainless steel.
- Maintain clean customer toilets throughout the day.
General Cleaning
- Empty bins and dispose of waste correctly.
- Restock cleaning supplies and consumables.
- Clean staff areas, offices and back-of-house facilities.
- Assist with deep cleaning schedules.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
Laundry
- Strip and remake beds.
- Keep the linen room clean and organised.
Additional Duties
- Assist with setting up function rooms where required.
- Support the management team during busy periods.
- Help maintain the overall appearance of the premises.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Flexible with working hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Hours
- Approximately 40–45 hours per week.
- Weekend work required.
