We are looking for a Product Owner who is a product-minded professional who can hold two things at once; stewarding a legacy platform while helping shape what comes next. This role sits at the intersection of client understanding, business logic, and platform delivery. The role is based in Limerick, Ireland. This is a hybrid position and 3 days a week in the office is required.
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in proxy voting, governance, or financial services.
- 1–2 years of product management or product ownership experience, ideally within a technical team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to translate stakeholder requests into well-structured requirements without defaulting to prescribed solutions.
- Experience managing legacy systems and new platform development in parallel.
- Comfort with Kanban and agile workflows; able to manage work-in-progress effectively for small, high-velocity teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex business logic into clear narratives.
Nice to Have
- Experience with third-party platform integrations such as Broadridge, Proximity or other voting services.
- Familiarity with product experience principles and the ability to bring a user-centred lens to requirements and feature definition.
Requirements Gathering for Platform Rebuild
You will work directly with business owners and voting clients to understand their workflows, pain points, and governance requirements. The emphasis here is on problem discovery ; your instinct should be to challenge stakeholders to articulate the why behind their requests, not to accept the solution they initially propose. You will partner closely with our Technical Product Owner to translate those insights into well-structured user stories and acceptance criteria, while balancing competing client needs and organizational constraints to make clear, reasoned trade-off recommendations.
Legacy Platform Stewardship
You will own the Kanban workflow for ongoing maintenance of our legacy voting recommendation system, working alongside a single engineer. This means prioritizing bug fixes, minor feature requests, and operational improvements to keep the platform dependable for voting clients , as well as managing distributor integrations and handling client support escalations related to voting or data delivery
What Success Looks Like
Discovery and requirements refinement for voting project epics and features are complete, developed collaboratively with business and technology stakeholders. Requirements are clear, unambiguous, and anchored in underlying client problems rather than prescribed solutions. The legacy platform runs smoothly with minimal production issues and a well-prioritized backlog. And you have built trusted relationships with key business owners, internal teams, and voting clients , earning their confidence and active input.
