Job Title: Centre Manager / Person in Charge (PIC)
Location: Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim (with oversight of Castlerea, Co. Roscommon)
Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Manager to oversee daily operations at our busy Independent Living/Direct Provision Centre. You will have full responsibility for the running of our Ballinamore site and provide oversight and strategic direction for our Castlerea location.
Key Responsibilities
· Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and support duty managers and security staff to ensure efficiency and professionalism.
· Operations: Manage daily activities, resident needs, facility upkeep, and inventory/supplies.
· Resident Support: Serve as the first point of contact for resident queries, help plan activities, prepare rooms for new arrivals, and assist with community integration.
· Compliance: Ensure full adherence to IPAS contracts, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
· Crisis Management: Act as the first responder for emergencies, service disruptions, or facility concerns.
· Reporting: Maintain accurate records and ensure smooth shift handovers to management and regional support.
Requirements & Qualifications
· Experience: Previous background in hospitality, housekeeping, reception, or social services is preferred.
· Flexibility: Willingness to work shift patterns (including evenings, weekends, and holidays).
· Skills: Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
· Tech: Proficient in basic-to-intermediate Word and Excel; clear professional communication style.
· Vetting: Must pass Garda Vetting.
· Travel: Ability to support our satellite location in Castlerea is required (travel costs/time provided).
Shift Details
· Contract: 40-hour week.
· Hours: Vary between 8am–8pm (Mon–Fri) and 9am–5:30pm (Sat–Sun).
· Note: 8.5-hour shifts include lunch.
