Job Title: HR Manager
Reporting to: Managing Director, McMahons Builders Providers
Location: Based in Limerick but with an occasional requirement to travel to the branch network, depending on business needs
Working Arrangements: Office-based, with occasional remote working by agreement
The HR Manager would have responsibility for areas including, but not limited to:
· Lead recruitment and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent
· Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment law and best practice
· Provide guidance and support to branch/ sales managers on employee relations, performance management and development
· Manage compensation and benefits programs to be competitive in the market/ sector within which we operate
· Lead employee engagement initiatives to maintain a positive workplace culture
· Oversee/ manage disciplinary procedures/ conflict resolution when necessary
· Oversee/ lead training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance
· Conduct regular reviews of HR processes and propose improvements
· Develop and monitor KPIs related to the HR function to include employee turnover and retention rates; seek to improve when/ where possible
· Ensure efficient and effective execution of the performance feedback/ review process including goal/ objective setting
· Stay updated on HR trends and employment law changes to ensure the company remains compliant

· Support the MD and senior management team with strategic HR planning aligned with business objectives

Person Specification – qualifications, experience, skills required:
· Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Human Resources or a related discipline (e.g. Business/ Psychology)
· CIPD qualified
· Relevant experience/ proven track record in the areas outlined in the job description, notably talent management (recruitment/ retention), employee relations matters (grievance/ disciplinary), compliance, policy development and employee engagement
· Working knowledge of all aspects of employment law and HR best practice
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to provide both strategic HR leadership and hands on HR support to the business
· Problem-solving and dispute resolution experience
· Leads with trust, integrity and credibility
· Excellent working knowledge of MS Office suite, in addition to HR information systems
