Incus Power is a leading electrical switchgear manufacturer supplying projects throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and proactive HR professional to play a key role in shaping our people strategy.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of the HR function, introduce best practices, improve systems and work closely with senior management to build a high-performing, engaged workforce.
The Role
Reporting directly to senior management, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Human Resources while also developing long-term people strategies that support the continued growth of the business.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Talent Management
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from advertising through to onboarding.
- Develop talent pipelines for production, engineering and office-based roles.
- Coordinate interviews, reference checks and employment offers.
- Deliver structured onboarding programmes for new employees.
Employee Relations
- Provide advice and guidance to managers on HR matters.
- Manage disciplinary, grievance and absence processes.
- Promote positive employee engagement and workplace culture.
- Support conflict resolution and employee wellbeing initiatives.
Performance & Development
- Design and implement a structured performance management process.
- Coordinate probation reviews, annual appraisals and one-to-one meetings.
- Develop individual training and development plans.
- Identify skills gaps and succession planning opportunities.
HR Systems & Process Improvement
- Take ownership of the company's HR systems and ensure accurate employee records.
- Review current HR processes and recommend improvements.
- Introduce effective training, compliance and performance monitoring systems.
- Improve holiday, attendance and absence management processes.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Irish employment legislation.
- Maintain HR policies and employee handbook.
- Monitor mandatory training and certification requirements.
- Support audits and maintain HR documentation.
Workforce Planning
- Work with management to forecast staffing requirements.
- Analyse labour trends, turnover and retention.
- Support organisational growth through effective workforce planning.
Reporting
- Produce regular HR reports and KPIs including:
- Recruitment metrics
- Absenteeism
- Staff turnover
- Training compliance
- Performance reviews
- Employee engagement
We're looking for someone who enjoys building processes, improving systems and creating a positive workplace culture.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years' HR experience, ideally within manufacturing, engineering or production.
- Qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
- Experience managing recruitment, employee relations and performance management.
- Experience implementing or improving HR systems.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and influence managers at all levels.
Desirable
- Experience with HRIS platforms.
- Experience managing training and development programmes.
- Experience supporting Health & Safety initiatives.
