About Us
Blackstone Motor Group is a premier, rapidly expanding automotive retail group in Ireland. Representing some of the world’s most recognized vehicle brands across multiple state-of-the-art dealerships, we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional, customer-first experience. As we enter an ambitious new chapter of strategic growth—focused on entering new geographic territories and onboarding exciting new manufacturer franchises—we are looking for a forward-thinking financial leader to join our executive team.
The Role
Due to an upcoming retirement, we have a rare opportunity for a commercially minded and deeply experienced Financial Controller to join Blackstone Motor Group. This role will spearhead our financial strategy and lead a centralised finance function supporting our multi-brand automotive operations.
This is not just a traditional compliance and reporting role. While you will ensure flawless financial governance and operational control across the group, you will also act as a key commercial partner to the Managing Director and the Board. Your financial insights, risk assessments, and proactive market analysis will directly guide our expansion roadmap, capital allocation, and new brand acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth & Business Expansion: Conduct rigorous financial due diligence, feasibility modelling, and investment appraisals for proposed new location developments and brand acquisitions.
- Commercial Advisory: Partner closely with senior leadership to translate financial data into actionable commercial initiatives that maximize profitability across all sales, fleet, and aftersales divisions.
- Financial Leadership & Reporting: Deliver robust, timely consolidated monthly management accounts, KPIs, and variance analyses to the Directors.
- Brand Incentive Governance: Establish robust internal controls to monitor, validate, and claim brand sales incentives. Responsible for mitigating financial risk by ensuring strict adherence to manufacturer terms and conditions to prevent clawbacks.
- Treasury & Capital Management: Optimize working capital, oversee comprehensive multi-million euro funding and banking facilities, and maintain tight control over corporate cash flow forecasting.
- Internal Controls & Audit: Implement and safeguard rigorous internal financial controls, processes, and corporate governance protocols across all group rooftops.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and elevate our high-performing centralized accounts and finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Compliance: Oversee all statutory requirements, tax compliance (VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax), and corporate financial reporting obligations.
What We Are Looking For
- Professional Qualification: Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) with substantial post-qualification experience.
- Industry Experience: A proven and successful track record in a senior financial leadership role within the automotive / motor retail sector is highly advantageous.
- Multi-Site Track Record: Proven experience managing the financial complexities of a multi-site, multi-franchise business model.
- Commercial Acumen: Exceptional business acumen with a demonstrated capability to look "beyond the numbers" to unlock growth opportunities and mitigate expansion risks.
- Relationship Management: Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility and negotiate effectively with external partners, financial institutions, and global manufacturers.
- Tech Savvy: Deep working knowledge of modern Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and advanced financial reporting software.
What We Offer
- Highly competitive executive salary package tailored to experience.
- Performance-related executive bonus structure linked to group milestones.
- Expensed company vehicle
- A definitive seat at the table to actively shape the future footprint of the Group.
