Clinical Nurse Manager 3 and Person in Charge (PIC)

Job Purpose
Responsibility for supporting service planning, development, delivery and oversight of quality client focused residential, supported accommodation, and respite models of service, supporting clients with Intellectual disabilities and other associated clinical needs, in a person centred approach to care.
The post holder will require in depth knowledge of the role of the Person in Charge for designated centers and will provide oversight in assurance of the provision of high quality, responsive and sustainable services in accordance with HIQA regulations and relevant legislation (including Safeguarding of vulnerable adults 2014 and Trust in Care 2005) and Rehab Group standards.
The post holders responsibilities will include: supporting the oversight of quality of residential, supported accommodation, and respite care with a particular focus on clinical support needs; the management of relationships with key stakeholders in collaboration with the Regional Manager; the oversight and provision of clinical guidance and leadership teams, including clinical supervision, as appropriate to the role, and co-ordination/direction of the clinical support needs within the services; the safeguarding and protection of all respite service users in the service; the provision of clinical and professional recommendations, guidance, leadership and promoting the values of the Rehab Group.
Minimum Education & Skills required
§ Be registered in the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (Nursing Midwifery Board Ireland)
§ A minimum of 3 years’ experience in management of supervisory role in the area of health or social care; of which 2 must be in the specialty area of intellectual disability
§ Experience of creating and maintaining effective working relations and networks at all levels, to further the development of the service, and enhance the service's reputation
§ Experience as a leader with strong operational and general management competency
Job Duties & Responsibilities
§ Lead the strategic and operational delivery of children and adult respite services in order to meet the identified needs and wishes of the people that we support; allowing for active participation and engagement, including the management and analysis of complaints.
§ Establish continuous improvement processes and controls in order that shared learning opportunities are optimised and national/international best practice is embedded at the earliest opportunity. This will be achieved through working in collaboration with colleagues across Group.
§ Lead and direct operational staff within services to ensure that robust people management principles are embedded so as to foster a strong a strong cross-functional team working ethos; identification and development of emerging talent; development of a performance management culture; as well as clear communication of the team’s progress in meeting its performance objectives working closely with the ISM.

Salary starting from point 1 €66,487.27 to point 6 €75,356.07 Pro Rata and is subject to negotiation depending on experience and qualification.
