We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our busy department store. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment, have excellent communication skills, and are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Help customers find products and provide accurate product information.
- Process cash, card, and other payments accurately using the till system.
- Replenish stock and ensure shelves and displays are well presented.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised sales floor.
- Handle customer enquiries, returns, and complaints professionally.
- Promote store offers, promotions, and loyalty programmes.
- Work as part of a team to achieve sales targets and deliver an excellent shopping experience.
- Follow company policies, including health and safety procedures.
- Willing to learn and up skill in all departments if required.
Skills and Experience
- Previous retail or customer service experience is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
- Reliable, flexible, and willing to learn.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic numeracy and confidence using a till or point-of-sale system.
