About the Role
As a Spa Host with responsibility for Retail in a luxury five-star hotel, you will be the first point of contact for guests visiting the spa, creating a warm, welcoming, and tranquil experience from arrival to departure. You will manage bookings, coordinate appointments, and ensure the highest standards of service are delivered, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Spa Hosting
- Greet guests in a professional, friendly, and calm manner, ensuring a luxury experience at all times
- Conduct spa tours and provide information on facilities, treatments, and wellness offerings.
- Manage guest bookings, enquiries, appointment scheduling and cancellations efficiently. To ensure all the treatment rooms are operational at maximum level.
- Coordinate therapist schedules to optimise availability and guest satisfaction
- Promote and upsell spa treatments, packages, and retail products
- Handle guest enquiries and resolve any concerns with professionalism and discretion
- Maintain accurate records of bookings and guest preferences
- Ensure the reception and waiting areas are clean, organised, and serene
- Process payments and manage billing accurately to all systems in the hotel.
- Work closely with therapists and other hotel departments to ensure seamless service
- Ensure all guests receive a personalised and memorable spa experience.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve any concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain the highest standards of presentation, cleanliness, and hospitality throughout the spaces.
Retail Sales
- Actively promote and sell spa retail products and wellness packages.
- Provide expert product knowledge and personalised recommendations to guests.
- Assist with stock control, merchandising, and retail displays.
- Support the achievement of retail sales targets and key performance indicators.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements to management.
- Support the Spa Director with the implementation of marketing initiatives and social media activities to promote the spa and its services.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all spa and hotel IT systems, ensuring their effective and efficient use in daily operations.
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Previous experience in a spa, wellness, or luxury hospitality environment
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Sales-oriented with confidence in recommending treatments and products
- Familiarity with booking systems or spa management software
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- IT experience beneficially but not essential.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
