Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the Meat Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times and provide our customers with excellent quality and products and services.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- Butchers experience
- Numerical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous customer service experience is an advantage
- The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, ability to multi task under pressure
- A passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers
- HACCP training is beneficial but not essential.
Duties & Responsibilities

- Merchandise Excellence: Present and merchandise the department to the highest standard.
- Implement Planograms: Correctly implement planograms to optimize product placement.
- Stock Rotation: Manage stock rotation to ensure the highest quality and freshness of goods.
- Manage Waste: Effectively manage waste and shrink in the department.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with new products and initiatives to continuously improve the Meat Department.
- Enhance Product Knowledge: Gain and share product knowledge from various sources.
- Embrace New Initiatives: Engage with and embrace new ways of working.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role within a retail environment
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Flexibility to work mid week and Saturdays
