Title: Student Recruitment & Retention Officer
Reporting to: Head of Marketing & Student Recruitment
Term: Permanent Position, Full Time
Purpose of this role
The role of the Student Recruitment and Retention Officer is to lead and drive the recruitment of all PCI College programmes, with a focus on sales, networking, events and retention. This role will encompass a variety of responsibilities across the key functional areas of Sales Strategy and Operations, Communication and Networking and Cross-Department Liaison.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Focus
· Ensure sales are a priority for the business and all key directives and tasks are completed as instructed
· Work closely with the Marketing Manager on the Marketing Strategy and Campaign/Sales plans
· Provide a Sales & Retention Report to the Management Team every month
· Act as a Marketing Ambassador for PCI College both internally and externally
· Network at all PCI College events
Sales Strategy and Operations
· Increase Student numbers across all courses in line with set targets
· Develop, in conjunction with the Marketing Manager, the PCI College Annual Marketing Strategy based on PCI College’s Business Strategy and Five-Year Plan
· Develop and design sales strategies and approaches for various products and services
· Develop and drive the implementation of the College’s Online Strategy as agreed with the Marketing Manager
· Answer questions from potential applicants about products and services
· Work closely with the Student Services Manager, establishing robust recruitment and admissions processes
· Work closely with all departments in focusing efforts from all areas on student retention
· Work closely with Student Services on developing a clear progression route from programme to programme, enhancing retention
Communication and Networking
· Ensure effective communication and marketing streams as part of the Sales Plan
· Ensure effective internal communication of planned marketing campaigns and events
· Provide information sessions and demos to lecturing staff and other departments on how to present PCI College, ethos and company message
· Provide guidance on sales techniques to the Open Evening and Taster day teams
Team Management and Cross-Department Liaison
· Build a close working relationship with the Marketing Manager to drive the Marketing and Sales Strategy
· Work closely with all Administrative and Academic Departments at all levels, including business development
· Develop effective internal and external customer relationships
· Manage the sales cycle, increasing productivity and streamlining processes.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- 3rd level degree, preferably in Marketing/Business
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Sales/Marketing or Student Recruitment
- Practical experience in Sales/Recruitment
- Proven experience in generating new ideas/promotions to drive revenues
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Knowledge of General Marketing principles
- Exceptional IT Skills, including Microsoft Office packages, and good research and editing skills
- Dedication to providing exceptional customer service
- Positive team-player with ability to work on own initiative
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Friendly, enthusiastic, outgoing approach
- Driver’s Licence and access to a car for nationwide travel
Desirable
- General Marketing or Digital Marketing Training
- Knowledge of CRM system – Microsoft 365
- Ability to motivate and enthuse others
- Experience of working within the Education Sector
Pay: €32,000.00-€36,000.00 per year
