Language skills required: Fluent English (native speaker or CEFR C2)
Qualifications: Degree (NFQ level 7 or above) plus CELTA (DELTA or equivalent desirable) and at least 3 years ELT with a knowledge of GNIB requirements

Role Description
OHC Dublin, a long-standing accredited language school in the centre of Dublin, is looking for an experienced and talented Senior Teacher.
The successful candidate will support the Academic Manager in dealing with the academic day to day running of the school.
The main duties involve:
Students
- Assist students with academic issues
- Provide general advice to students
- Deal with internal problems and complaints from students
- Evaluate levels of students
- Monitor progress of longer-term students
- Manage course change requests
Teachers
- Arrange cover for absent teachers, both planned and unplanned
- Mentor new/less experienced teachers, arrange peer observations and help with lesson planning
- Provide feedback to teachers from student questionnaires, interviews or general comments
- Monitor teacher administration, including but not limited to, weekly plans, lesson record sheets, progress tests and registers
- Oversee all weekly progress tests and assessment records
General
- Check weekly plans in classrooms
- Regularly check staffroom forms/paperwork
- Attend management meetings when required
- Help keep staffroom neat and tidy
- Review and update the Document Curriculum Framework
Teaching
- Teach a minimum of 15 hours per week and provide cover as required
Professional Development
- Prepare and schedule monthly professional development workshops
- Attend external CPD sessions as required
Other
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as instructed by the Academic Manager or senior management
Candidates must speak and write fluent English and be highly organised with excellent time-management, administrative and IT skills. An energetic, fast learning and ‘can do’ attitude is a must. Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise the workload is an integral part of the post offered. Knowledge of foreign languages is desirable.
The position of Senior Teacher is offered on a full-time permanent basis, subject to successful completion of the probationary period. Hours of work are 8.30am -5pm Monday through Friday.
