Role & Responsibilities:
The Stores Supervisor is responsible for the management of all areas of our dry goods and packaging stores to include the upkeep of the external yard area in the stores and the factory.
The Stores Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of three operators in the stores and the operator in the yard area.

Health & Safety:
- Ensure that you are working in a safe manner and following the company's Health & Safety guidelines – across the site.
- Report any near misses and in the event of an accident/incident record as much information as possible immediately. This information must be report to the Production Manager or the Operations Manager immediately.
- Do not climb on boxes, pallets, racking or any other unauthorised method to work at a height.
- Ensure the forklift and power pallet truck you operate are done so as per the training provided.
- You must always drive the fork truck at the restricted speed limit and be constantly aware of people walking both inside and outside the factory.
Food Safety & Customer Performance:
- Staff must follow the correct hygiene rules at all times i.e. use of hairnet and beard-mask, adhere to no jewellery policy, illness reporting, wear clean protective clothing and footwear, wash hands on entry to the factory floor, etc.
- No food or drink is permitted on the factory floor, or packaging store areas.
- Ensure correct packaging is delivered to the production area as per the production plan, with correct traceability information.
- Ensure the quality of ingredients and packaging meets the required specification e.g. no signs of pest infestation, pallets in good condition, packaging not damaged, conforms to specification.
- Update Season with the intake of all necessary stock. The required intake checks must be done on the day of intake on Season. Ensure correct batch numbers are recorded on the intake documentation e.g. product codes or order numbers not acceptable.
- Responsible for ensuring traceability of ingredients and packaging is maintained at all stages of the process.
- Report to the Technical Manager any issue that could affect product safety and quality.
- Ensure the packaging stores are kept audit ready all of the time – good housekeeping is essential.
- All packaging needs to be kept out from the walls of the stores. Ingredients must be stored in the designated area. Bait points must be accessible at all times.

- Food contact packaging must be protected in the stores at all times. Opened packaging web must be completed covered by a liners. Part used packaging must be fully enclosed with traceability information attached before it leaves the main factory,
Production Performance:
- Review the daily plans and ensure all packaging and ingredients are brought to the production floor in time to ensure there are no delays to production.
- Ensure that any packaging that is finished on the production floor is return to its correct location in the stores.
- Keep storage of dolavs and trays in the yard neat and tidy.
- Ensure both stores and the yard area are clean and tidy at all times
Responsibility of exterior yard area of the full site:
- Ensure the yard area is kept clean and tidy at all times – this includes the rear of the factory too.
- Ensure the operator in the yard has a clear set of tasks and duties to complete and that the waste is segregated correctly when going into the compactors.
Ordering & Paperwork:
- Do weekly call off of boxes from our box suppliers.
- Ensure all paperwork for deliveries is checked, signed, and given to the accounts department.
- Ensure all quality checks are done correctly on the intake of all dry goods and packaging.
- Watch stock levels of all dry goods and packaging, flag any low levels with the relevant personnel.
