Pure Oil is a family-owned and managed business with a reputation for providing high-quality edible vegetable oil products to businesses across Ireland as well as used and waste oil collection. We provide our customers with a ‘complete managed service’
We currently have a FULL-TIME vacancy for a Procurement / Purchasing & Accounts Payable Administrator based out of our Wexford Depot.
Hours of Work:
Monday-Friday, 39.5 hours per week.
9.00am - 5.30pm Monday-Friday.
Overview of the Role:
- Source and procure materials, products, and services in line with business requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve the best value for the business.
- Process purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate deliveries to ensure continuity of supply.
- Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and delivery dockets.
- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end accounts payable procedures.
- Maintain accurate procurement and financial records.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure efficient purchasing and payment processes.
- Support continuous improvement of procurement and accounts payable procedures.

Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 1-year experience working in a customer service-focused role.
- Experience in a Customer Service Administrator role within an environment focused on sales growth and achievement of targets.
- Previous experience in direct contact with customers
- Ability to successfully negotiate with customers by building a strong relationship.
- Possess excellent telephone mannerisms.
- Highly organised and proactive.
- Ability to be self-motivated and driven to meet set targets.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, accounts payable, or a similar administrative role.
- Proven ability to negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience using accounting or ERP software is desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
