Accounts Assistant

We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some previous accounts or finance administration experience who is looking to develop their career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
This is a fully office-based role, working alongside an experienced finance team, providing excellent opportunities to learn, develop and build a long-term career in finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verify invoices and post expenses to the appropriate general ledger accounts (e.g. postage, canteen, office supplies and other overhead expenses).
- Prepare supplier payment runs and remittance advices.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queries.
- Assist with maintaining accurate accounting records and filing systems.
- Support both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Perform general administrative duties including data entry, document management and correspondence.
- Assist with month-end finance tasks and other duties as required.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1–2 years' experience in an accounts or finance administration role.
- A good understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a proactive approach to work.
Experience with accounting software would be an advantage but is not essential.
Requirements
- Leaving Certificate (preferred).
- 1–2 years' experience in an accounts or administrative role.
- Ability to reliably commute to Dublin or relocate before starting work.
