Welder Fabricator

Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions and specifications.
- Manufacture and assemble fabricated components to the required dimensions and tolerances.
- Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently, including saws, drills, presses, grinders and other workshop machinery.
- Prepare materials for fabrication, including measuring, marking out, cutting and fitting.
- Assist with welding processes where appropriately trained and authorised.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards.
- Identify and report defects, quality concerns or equipment issues promptly.
- Work collaboratively with welders, machinists, engineers and other production personnel.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records where required.
- Meet production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area in accordance with company procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to improve productivity and quality.
- Comply with all Company policies, procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
Knowledge and Skills
Essential:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good measuring and fabrication skills.
- Knowledge of fabrication tools and workshop equipment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good problem-solving ability.
- Experience in precision engineering
- Welding experience or certification.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Relevant fabrication qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
