Mars Capital was established in 2015 and is a Regulated Credit Servicing Firm, authorised by the by the Central Bank of Ireland and located in Dublin 2. Mars Capital has the capacity and regulatory authority to service loans secured against properties and has €8bn AUM, experiencing significant growth in recent years. We provide services that span the full lifecycle of a loan post origination, from drawdown through to loan administration, asset management, enforcement as well as syndication, securitisation, and standby servicing.

Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Developer to join our Data & Analytics team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and optimise cloud-based data solutions using Snowflake, working closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions. This role will help deliver a modern cloud-based data platform that supports regulatory reporting, portfolio analytics and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain data pipelines within the Snowflake platform.

Migrate mortgage portfolio data from legacy platforms into Snowflake.

Build scalable, secure and high-performing data models to support reporting and analytics.

Develop ELT/ETL processes using modern cloud-based tooling.
-
Ensure data quality, reconciliation and validation throughout the migration lifecycle.
-
Optimise Snowflake performance, storage and compute usage.
-
Collaborate with business analysts and reporting teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Support the delivery of regulatory, operational and management reporting.
-
Implement data governance, security and best practices within Snowflake.

Produce technical documentation, data dictionaries and deployment documentation.

Participate in code reviews, testing and release activities.

Work within Agile delivery teams to achieve programme milestones.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
Essential
-
5 years of proven commercial experience developing solutions using Snowflake.

Strong SQL development skills with the ability to write complex, optimised queries.
-
Experience designing dimensional data models and analytical data structures.
-
Experience developing ELT/ETL pipelines.
-
Strong understanding of cloud data architecture principles.
-
Experience integrating data from multiple source systems.
-
Knowledge of data quality, reconciliation and validation techniques.
-
Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
-
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Desirable
-
Experience within Financial Services, Banking or Mortgage servicing.

Knowledge of mortgage servicing systems and mortgage portfolio data.
-
Experience with Power BI or other enterprise reporting platforms.

Understanding of data governance and regulatory reporting requirements.

Visual Basic Skills.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
