Verizon’s Supply Chain Services is modernizing the Global Strategic Sourcing Group and seeks a dynamic professional to join our team.
The Senior Manager, Total Value Optimization (TVO) & Growth plays a lead role in supporting Verizon's Customer Experience, Connectivity & Partnerships (CECP) categories, enabling Sourcing and cross-functional teams to achieve strategic and financial objectives.
In this role, you will map end-to-end category journeys, conduct financial risk assessments, and collaborate with cross-functional business partners to drive process excellence, value optimization and revenue growth.
Leading the conception, scope definition, and execution of strategic initiatives focused on delivering E2E TVO and customer success outcomes.
Providing proactive and engaging leadership, strategic assessments, insights, and vision directly to the Associate Vice President.
Driving initiatives designed to increase revenue and margin, reduce expenses, enhance business efficiency, and improve customer experience .
Building excellent working relationships with Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Business teams to ensure alignment.
Conducting quantitative analyses to prove or disprove hypotheses driving project or strategy execution.
Partnering with Device, Marketing, Network, and IT groups to develop technology roadmaps that enable streamlined collaboration.
Providing senior leadership with updates on project status, key metrics, issues, and risks.
Leading, managing, and coaching the Sourcing team to foster a continuous learning and development culture.
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related technical discipline and or equivalent work experience.
Relevant professional experience in sourcing, original equipment manufacturing (OEM), telecommunications, or a financial firm.
Direct people leadership and management experience.
Proven experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic international business environment.
Proven track record of managing multiple simultaneous projects to time, cost, and quality standards.
Track record of handling extremely confidential information appropriately.
MBA or an advanced university degree is highly desired.
Ability to drive results at all levels of the organization, regardless of formal reporting structures.
Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills, including the ability to conduct internal/external research, analyze data, and utilize Google Sheets, Qlik and other tools effectively to develop models and drive analyses.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, including the ability to create impactful presentations using Google Slides and present to all levels of management.
Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking that results in new ideas driving the business forward.
Comfort working up and across the organization—collaborating seamlessly with senior staff members and front-line employees alike.
Prior experience working within a tier-1 management consulting organization.
Experience or formal certification in Agile, Design Thinking, or Empathy interview techniques.
A foundational appreciation for the regulatory and tax landscape.
