Job Purpose
The Package Coordinator will play a key role in the pre-construction phase of financial planning of multiple construction projects from initial cost planning through to the post-tender clarification and execution phases. You will ensure that project budgets are fully prepared and thoroughly documented in an effective manner. This role requires a sound understanding of the construction process, excellent cost management skills, strong communication and influencing skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Key Responsibilities
The Package Coordinator will prepare and develop package budget splits from project cost plans and BOQs.
Extract and compile trade packages from Bills of Quantities for tender.
Prepare, issue and manage subcontract tender enquiries.
Respond to tender queries and liaise with consultants and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
Analyse tender returns, prepare commercial comparisons and identify value engineering opportunities.
Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with tenderers.
Prepare and issue post-tender clarifications and recommendation reports.
Manage subcontractor appointments and prepare subcontract documentation for execution.
Maintain procurement programmes and ensure packages are procured in line with project milestones.
Attend occasional site visits and pre-award meetings with project teams and subcontractors.

Strong understanding of Bills of Quantities and construction procurement.
Commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
Ability to analyse tender submissions and present clear commercial recommendations.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple procurement packages.

Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or
a related field.
Experience in commercial, estimating or quantity surveying.
Professional Accreditation: SCSI membership.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction contracts,
procurement processes, and cost planning.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office (experience with estimating software is advantageous).
