Chef de Partie The Bay Tree Restaurant/ Cois na hAbhann
We have a position available for a Chef de Partie in The Bay Tree Restaurant in Cois na hAbhann Garden Centre. Day time hours only.
Reporting to the Head Chef & Sous Chef , the Chef de Partie will assist our successful kitchen team in producing "wow" dishes for our customers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef & Sous Chef with the overall running of the kitchen.
Take direction from department managers.
Prepare and cook high quality food according to menu guidelines and recipes. Training will be given.
Ensuring correct presentation of all dishes prepared
Take direction from Head Chef/Sous Chef and to assist in the monitoring of food quality and hygiene standards.
Adhere to HACCP regulations at all times
Supporting your fellow kitchen staff in observing appropriate systems of hygiene during food preparation and storage.
Following regular cleaning practices.
Requirements:
Have previous experience working within hotels or in a similar role
Good organisational skills and communication skills
Be a team player.
Have a passion for and genuine interest in food.
Be willing to learn and progress further in your career.
Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
Have a pleasant manner for dealing with customers and team members.
Be able to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
Have good working knowledge of HACCP procedures and regulations.
