Position Overview
The Senior Network Systems Analyst formulates and defines the system scope and objectives based on enterprise infrastructure needs. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems, prepares detailed specifications, analyzes and revises existing system logic problems and documentation as necessary, has full technical knowledge of all phases of systems analysis. Responsible for client communication and satisfaction, provides ongoing technical and troubleshooting support for clients, responsible for quality assurance review, and acts as project leader for designated projects as assigned. Overall Responsibilities: Ability to effectively manage and participate in projects or tasks (upgrades, migrations, maintenance R&D, proof of concepts and for new technologies) through completion with minimal supervision. Proactive monitoring, alert and reporting for systems and conduct operational fucntions when necessary Conduct system patching and routine updates to keep environment current with industry norms and best practices and to minimize security related vulnerabilities Provide support for the overall health and operability of the corporate environment Act as technical lead and provide technical training, coaching, and mentoring to other engineers. Qualifications: Minimum 8 years experience in network infrastructure administration and architect experience Strong written and oral communication skills, organization, time and project management Interface with business partners Strong analytical and problem solving skills In-depth technical knowledge of network technologies including DMVPN, BGP, VxLAN / Tunneling technologies coupled with strong DC networking technologies, VPN Site-to-Site technologies and Software Defined Networking Technologies- Arista/ Cisco ACI In-depth knowledge of IP Telephony technologies – Cisco and Avaya Call Processing Experience working with various network management platforms- Solar Winds, Cisco Prime coupled with point management systems Experience with diverse security platforms enabling IPS/ FW and deep inspections technologies- Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Cisco Security Manager, Cisco Any Connect Remote Access VPN Experience with enterprise video technologies – Spark, LifeSize and Unified video technologies Must be willing to travel domestic and international as needed (10%) The NPD Group, Inc. is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
